Henry Keahey Obituary
On September 22, 2009, Henry Anthony Keahey left his earthly existence to join his father and other loved ones in Heaven. Henry spent 38 phenomenal years bringing all those who shared his life with him an abundance of joy, love, laughter and fun - especially his seven children who he loved so much. He was a son, brother, father, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend - A wonderful friend with a big heart. All were welcome into his home. He enjoyed dancing, music, joking, and being silly. We were all so blessed to have been a part of his life. Henry leaves behind seven beautiful children: Daniel, Patrick, Jesse, Priscilla, Henry Jr., Xavier, Genesis; his mother Laura; brother Vincent (Kris); sisters Sanya Hutson (Scott), Rebecca Tovar (Chris); grandmother Beatrice Garcia; and many relatives and friends who are all going to miss him dearly. Henry would want us to celebrate his life and carry on the laughter he always shared with us. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, September 29, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road. Funeral Mass will be at 9:00 am, Wednesday, September 30, at St. Mary's Basilica, 231 N. 3rd Street. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a college fund has been set up for his children in his memory. The Henry A. Keahey Memorial Fund at Chase Bank (#2928049838).

I Love You Dad
Dad the day you passed crushed my life, I felt you watching me as I cried in the alley. I stared at the stars and wished it was a bad dream; the pain was like poison in my blood stream. I know everything happens for a reason but without you my life has been draining, I feel anger and sadness because it’s hard to find happiness. I think of suicide every day but something tells me things will be ok and I can’t cut my wrists. I felt lost at your funeral and couldn’t feel my heart beat I was dead inside and felt weak. Through life and death I know you’re by my side. When I tried to overdose on pills you made me wake up and in my dream you said “Your mom is all you got now Daniel you have to know I’m gone and watching you…I Love You”.
Too everyone who has lost a parent or a close loved one I feel you & your emotions and things will be better throughout time.

May God bless all of you to ease your pain and give you peace. My heart hurts for all of you and know that all of your St Matthews youth group friends have such great memories of Lil Henry. I will always remember all of us at our retreats, and especially our crazy camping trips. Nina Laura, Vince, Sanya, Becky and the entire Keahey crew, I am simply heartbroken for all of you. What a deep loss. Little Henry was always so fun to be around. His crazy laugh was contagious!! My condolences go out to the Keahey family. I'm so sorry to hear about Henry, I know he will be missed dearly. He brought so much joy and laughter to many lives and I'll never forget that smile and laugh. I'll always remember him as "Baby Henry" and I'm so glad I we stayed friends. We also worked together awhile back and I don't remember laughing and smiling so much at a job as I did when I worked with Henry. Although we didn't stay in contact, I saw him a couple of years ago and he still had that wonderful personality. I remember Henry as being a very caring person who loved his family dearly. He is at peace now and watching over his family and friends as an angel now and I'm sure we'll hear his laughter in the winds. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. Keahey family,

Heartbroken is what I felt when I heard of Henry's passing. He was always so positive and had the most contageous smile. He was so friendly and always came up to say hello and talk about memories from St. Matthews whenever I saw him. He had a big heart and I know he will be missed so much.
