I watched as the guns saluted you, as the Air Force honor guard folded your flag & gave their respect to your wife for your honorable service. It's been one month since you took flight to heaven & I still cannot get over the end of your story. When I was a little boy I was so excited to see you every year I never slept the night before I came to your house. Didn't you know that you were my Hero? I was always so proud to say my Dad was an AF officer, almost as if I was wearing your rank insignia. Then life came & hit me, I had to make my own way; I cried to you & you made me answer that I had to "be a man." Thank you for that huge gift that has served me well, I depend on no one but give thanks for The Lords grace. I miss you & can barely understand your having to leave now? I pray Jesus can forgive my sins so I can see you again, rest easy Dad. I loved you so very much.
