Read of Jim's passing in the recent SIU Alumni magazine. I was dating Carol's sister Marsha way back then in Carbondale when Jim and Carol were going out. What a great guy. Like an older brother to me. I've thought often of Jim (and Carol) over the past four decades. I am so sorry for your loss. I know he will be truly missed.

I was so sad to hear Jim has passed away.
He was, as all the Higgins family, a kind person who didn't speak bad about anyone.
He was may best friend in the years I lived next to him. He will be in my thoughts often.

So sorry to hear about Jimmy's passing. Countless wonderful memories of the Higgins family and the house on the bluff. Wonderful days and nights in the woods with "the Higgins Kids". We had our "Seasons in The Sun". Terry Klingele. Klingele74@gmail.com

I'm so sorry to learn about Jim's passing. I grew up next door (or as we used to say, 'across the field') from the Higgins family. I knew Jim well & his sister, Morey, was my best friend growing up. There is nothing I miss more about my childhood years than the time I spent at the Higgins' house.
My thoughts & prayers are with all Higgins' family members.
