Not sure what to say?

Forever in our hearts and in our prayers!
Prayers and love to the family

March 5, 2016

I was a casual acquaintance of Johns. We'd see each other at gun shows and talk once or twice a month. I moved from Phoenix in 2010 and we had corresponded casually, but not for a while. I just googled him to see what he was up to and stunned to read of his passing. I'll hold his family in my prayers. RIP John.

My family and I might have never met him, but we thank him for helping to keep us safe. To his family, he was a true hero. He did a job many would be too scared to do so. He did that job to keep Arizona safe. Thank you seems like such small words to say. May you all find comfort in knowing what a hero he is to our state. God Bless you all.

RIP Phoenix Detective John Hobbs. Thank you for your service. You gave the ultimate sacrifice protecting our community.

The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly.
In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone,
for part of us went with you
the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories.
Your love is still our guide.
And though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one,
the Chain will link again.

To The Hobbs Family!

John is a hero to me and the community and while I never knew John I feel like I knew him. He embodied all that is good with those that protect us every day and he did not deserve this untimely passing. With many friends on the Phoenix Police Department I worry about all of them everyday. My only wish is that John Hobbs be remembered for all the good things he did in life not only for his family but for all those lives he touched during his short time on earth. Godspeed John Hobbs you will be missed and always loved by all.
