 Memories & Condolences

I was looking for some way to contact Jack to let him know of my husband's passing on Sept. 23 2015. We were all high school class mates. I was shocked and saddened to find Jack's obituary. We always looked forward to our reunions to "catch up". Jack always had my back in high school, he was my date to the prom. My condolences go out to the family. The last time I saw Jack was at our 60th reunion and we haven't had another reunion. My husband's name is Ed Perschbacher. Sincerely Ann Perschbacher

Uncle Jack,
We were sorry to hear of your passing. You will be missed by all of the Vaughn family, especially by your "brother" Jerry. He has entertained all of us with the stories of the two of you driving tours
up Pike's Peak during the summers when you were young men. We are glad you are at peace and not in any pain anymore. We love you and hope you are with your family and maybe even our Mom.
Love,
The Vaughn girls

I worked with Jack on the Gila River Adjudication. I sent the following message to many of the attorneys with whom he worked in that proceeding:

"To Counsel and Parties in the Gila River Adjudication:

Jack Schaper was an active participant and heavy lifter in building the framework of this adjudication. He represented the Buckeye farmers and agricultural interests. He did it well. Jack passed away on December 26, 2014. Following is the obituary published yesterday in The Arizona Republic: omitted]

Because he had the utmost confidence in Jack, Judge Goodfarb asked Jack to chair the initial Gila River Adjudication Steering Committee, a position Jack filled with exemplary leadership and commitment. The times called for a lot of thinking and planning. Jack enjoyed those aspects as well as the give and take of negotiations and the attendant political process. Jack had the Big Picture of this case."

My deepest sympathies are with his family.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. I was blessed to work for Jack in the mid-late 80s. My prayers are with his surviving family.
