I opened the paper and always read the obits as I lived in Scottsdale and Phoenix for 50 years. I did Joyce's hair in my home in the 70's and I think I even came to her house a few times.

Joyce brought a lot of ladies from her Ward and others. My husband left my two little girls and I and we were in dire straights. Joyce and the other ladies brought food and clothes for my children. She also gave me such strength to go on. I loved her like a Mom.

I opened a beauty shop in Phoenix and some of the ladies even drove there. I have often wondered about Joyce and never forgot her. When I saw the obit. I started crying. Sometimes in life, you meet someone that you will never forget......and Joyce was one of those people.

We used to tease. I was Baptist and she was LDS. She would say Boy Gloria, I don't know who is going to do my hair in the hearafter." I would say "Joyce, I will." She would say "No, you won't." Then we would laugh. I know she is indeed in Heaven. I loved her so.

God bless your whole family, that I was aquaintted with by her wonderful stories. She was such a wonderful person and gave so much through her heart. She will be missed by so many. Hugs, Gloria
