Resseguie, Kathryn Elizabeth (Katie)
80, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on October 13, 2016. Katie was born on March 26, 1936 in Fort Morgan, CO. She attended the University of Colorado, Boulder where she studied liberal arts. She was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority and also met her future husband, Richard (Dick) there. They were married in 1957 and moved to Evanston, IL. Dick and Katie raised their 3 children, Dick (Kristi), Bill and Karen in Deerfield, IL. Katie, 'Nana', adored her three grandchildren Megan, Adam and Mauri. Katie had a lifelong passion of flowers and gardening and volunteered for years at the Chicago Botanical Garden. Katie and Dick retired to her native Colorado and built a home in Telluride in 1994 where they enjoyed the outdoors. In 2000, they moved to Scottsdale AZ and were active residents at The Boulders community where she had so many friends. Katie was active in her church and enjoyed golf, bridge and volunteering at the Arizona Musicfest. The family plans a celebration of her life at Good Shepherd of The Hills, in Cave Creek, AZ later in November. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Good Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church, Cave Creek, AZ; the Arizona Musicfest; or the Sonoran Desert Foothills Land Trust.
