What I know of Len comes from my dad Jim Dias and husband Jim Kelly, through their men's Thursday morning bible study over 10 years ago. One time it was just the 3 of them and Len shared his story for them. Needless to say, my hard to impress dad was amazed and impressed at all Len did in the care of his son and the last years of his wife's life. After my dad died 8 1/2 yrs ago, Len would call my mom (who just died 7 weeks ago) to see how she was and express his care and thoughts of Jim to her. The past couple of years after Eileen died, I made my husband take a box of Christmas cookies to bible study for Len to show how much I appreciated his kindness to my parents. What a wonderful, caring and thoughtful man! My deepest sympathy Skip and Mark on the loss of your father and hoping that time will help soften your sadness leaving only beautiful memories forever in your heart.

seeing his heart shine all over his face when ever he spoke of the love of his life, times they shared it was as if it was still the day he made her his wife. even in my dreams never imagined how sweetly love could be.

yes he was proud of the hero he clearly was he loved how people wanted to listen and how they enjoyed his stories but that was nothing compared to the pride he clearly had when he spoke of his boys and the men they had become. but they knew that already i could see that too because i saw how much they cared and so didnt want to let their father go. they stood together like ive never seen. indivisable they stood . man he was so proud of them!
i will never forget as long as i live the determination len had to get out of his bed and into his wheelchair he hadnt gotten out of bed in a month. but he did it! the smile he had when all his friends showed him how much they really cared. they lined up they danced soo many friends good dear freinds he was overwhelmned he honestly didnt realize how many people cared . before i even felt it my heart swelled so quick so fast it burst inside me and i cried as i watched them say their last goodbyes he sang and howled with me so full and happy he was.
i will never forget how he felt that day and i will never forget how filled with love everyone of us felt .thank you len for showing me what a great man is i will never forget you your stories or youre so very beutiful beutiful beutiful face.

I LOVE YOU MR NIEMIEC,

ALWAYS MY FREIND

UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN!
