To all my Ivie family especially to Doug, Cheryl, Christy, Reagan and Presley; I am so sorry for your loss. I was deeply heartbroken to learn of Nick's death, and am praying for you to find comfort in knowing that he is with his grandparents and other loved ones who have gone on before. He is a true hero who gave his life in protection of our country. For that I am deeply grateful and honored to call him cousin.

It has been a while since we have all been together for a family reunion, but I will always have great memories of Nick.

I love you all and wish I could be with you during this most difficult time.

To the family, thank you for such a wonderful person who would go out every day and risk his life to defend our great country.

I have shed tears today when I read about "Elder" Ivie. He was a missionary in the Amecameca Zone of our Mission in Mexico City. We loved his humility and caring for others. He lived as Jesus Christ would want him to live. I know that he loved his wife and two little girls, because that was his nature.
We're so sorry for his family and know he will be truly missed by many.

Dear Ivie Family,
The name Ivie always brings a smile to me. Our great grand parents are James and Carrie Ivie from Scipio. If you knew them or are related let us know. bsoter@hoganconstruction.com My brother (Kerry Frampton, named for Carrie Ivie) who lives in Wittmann, AZ e-mailed me to tell notify me of this terrible tragedy. He expressed his condolences on FaceBook. My heart sank; as with anybody willing to put their life on the line so ours is better is without question a true hero. My brother's son is a police officer in Henderson, NV. we therefore fully understand not only the day to day sacrifice but also living with the "knowing" that unspeakable pain as a result is very real. Please know how very grateful beyond words we are for your brave Nicholas. Our family will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers now and the days to come. I deeply regret I am unable to attend his services but my heart will be with you.
