Back in the day, my grandfather Thomas B. Blaine, worked with Gov. Rose at the Tax Commission, she always remembered him to me. My family owned A.L. Moore and Sons Mortuary, and Gov. Rose came to give a closing ceremony speech @ 4th Avenue and Adams, in the early 1980's. She embodied a spirit of humility and caring which we can all strive for. Thank you Rose for leading by example and for loving Arizona.

My heartfelt condolences to the family of Ms. Rose Mofford. She no doubt lived a full life and her many contributions to better life in Arizona will be felt for decades beyond her life. May the God of comfort give her family and multitude of friends peace that surpasses all understanding during this difficult time. I hope you find the promise at 1 Thessalonians 4:14 consoling.
