Dear Anita and Family, I too echo the words of my Mom and Dad. I am so sorry also about this news. My young years being with the Farnsworths at Aspen Grove, what cherished memories. The generosity of letting me grow into a missionary by living and working with the family the summers after High School. That was a turning point in my life. I love you and the whole family so much. Thank goodness for the Gospel of Jesus Christ which is the center of our lives. God bless all of you and I love you all. Our family prayers are with you. Love john and Sherry Shepherd Family

Ross was the one who set apart our oldest son Chris when he went on his mission. At the time Ross siad "I wouldn't trade my mission for a room full of gold." I remembered that all of these years and thought that possibly he knew what a room full of gold could be like. He was a great man who did so much good in this town. He will be sorely missed.I'm imagining he is up there with Herm and all of the other community leaders who have gone on serving the youth and organizing tournaments.

I recall Mr. Farnsworth's few weeks as a cheerful young student teacher at Franklin Elementary in Mesa in Miss
Dunne's seventh-grade class, 1951-52.

He was popular with everyone and related especially very well with us kids. I followed his career with interest over the years.

Hey Ross. We're all just waiting around here to come see you. Some of us won't have to wait much longer. You gave me my first "big" architectural job and your trust in me helped set forth the joyful ride I've had professionally. You and your son taught me a lot about trust and that doing a good job is what it's all about. Ross, you done did a great job!

Anita and family -

I was deeply sadened by the news of Ross' passing. He was a great man, a good friend and a wonderful servant of God.

May the many memories he helped create find root in your hearts and bring sweet recollection to your minds as you both mourn and celebrate his great life.

We will all miss Uncle Ross; he touched our lives in so many ways. I spent many wonderful sleep overs in your home and came to love him as a father. I have fond memories of vacations at the ranch and at Aspen Grove with your family, not to mention the wonderful Easter Picnics at Encanto Park where Uncle Ross purchased us all boat rides and amusement park rides! I love him dearly and will miss his hugs and smiles. My condolences go out to your family at this time. I know the Lord will bless your family to feel peace in your loss as you all remember the larger than life father, grandfather, and great-grandfather you had. My love and support will always be here for you.

Dear Farnsworth Family,
I was sorry to hear of your husband and father's passing. He made such an impact on Mesa. I attended Mesa High when we he taught government there. Soon after, he developed Dreamland Villa. Many years later my husband and I lived in Dreamland Villa and then later in Sunland Village East, both lovely communities. It seems I've been aware of him much of my life and his contributions to the East Valley. You have numerous memories of him to cherish.

Dear Anita and family,
Ross was a hero in every sense of the word, in his generosity, in his desire to build a community and in his example of civic leadership. Although I will be unable to attend the funeral due to travel on behalf of the city, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Anita and Family,--We were so sorry to hear the sad news about our great friend Ross from Bill Glazier. What a great tribute to him in the news paper. I could go on and on here about all of the events in our young lives that mean so much to us, but will only mention how greatful Carol Lee and I are for the love and kindness you have always shown to us, especially when we lost our first two boys--and then our wonderful golf trips with the Masons and the Jones, and all of our great times at Aspen Grove together---and then all of the golf tournaments. Ross was a true friend to me. You and your wonderful family have always been there for us. We love all of you for it. Carol Lee is sick and I can't leave her to come to the funeral, but want to express our deepest sympathies to you and your family at this time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true and through Him there is great hope for all of us. You are a part of our prayers and will be especially on Saturday. We love all of you. Carol Lee and Doug
