Thank You Dennis Kerr for keeping Mr. Herrera's Guest Book active. I also had the privilege and honor to know and talk to this great American US Army Hero WWII Veteran through the years at American Legion Post 41. When I go volunteer at the VA Hospital I always enjoy the street sign "Herrera Way" which used to be 3rd Street off of Indian School Road, which you take to get to the newly opened VA Hospital parking garage. I remember the great job you did performing Taps at his Honor Guard Salute Services. Again Thank You, and Thank You For Your US Army Service. Steve F. Mora Service Officer, American Legion Post 41, Phoenix.

I was going thru a leather case that belonged to my Grandfather. In it was a note "Made by Silvestre Herrera 1955 or 1956. Medal of Honor. On the outside of the case was my Grandfather's name. Henry S. Stevens. Do you know their relationship? I am a vet myself and the history of these two is important. thank you and I am very sorry for your loss and the loss of an American Hero.
