So very sorry to hear of Tom's passing. We'll always have great memories of Tom. For me, an especially great memory was listening to Tom on the radio (with all of my coworkers) as the Cards kicked their way into the playoffs, on a field goal, back in '97. I've never forgotten that.

Sincerely,

Ross Lipter

I am just a local valley die hard sports fan. I grew up listening to Tom Dillon, and will never forget him. A true gentleman of a person, and he announced that way as well. My prayers and best wishes to his family.

Many years ago Tom was kind enough to broadcast Little League's 'Big League Softball World Series' games back to the girls' hometowns from Riverview in Mesa. As Chairman of the Publicity Committee for the Series I was fortunate to work with him and get to know him. I was very touched by the fact that someone who broadcast professional sports events would take the time to make it possible for the families of these teenagers to hear their games all over the country. He was a gentleman and a professional.

You will be missed, I remember listening to ASU games on the radio with my mom and dad. Tom, you brought an excitement that is unmatched. I felt like I was right there in the stands. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. RIP

I had the pleasure of meeting Tom face-to-face while attending the ASU scrimmage at Camp Tontozona. He was a very pleasant individual and cordial to being approached by a total stranger who knew him only as "the voice of the Sun Devils". I really enjoyed his broadcasts never got over him leaving the booth. ASU football has never been the same without Tom. Please accept my sincerest condolences.

He truly will be missed. I can remember listening to the games as a kid with my father while on hunting and camping trips. He made the games seem so real and it was easy to imagine I was there. I was sad to see him leave as the voice of Arizona State and he truly was a class act. My prayers are with his family.

For a generation of Sun Devil fans he was and will always be the voice of Sun Devil athletics. Thanks for bringing the games to me (and countless others) over the AM waves until I could get to ASU and see them in person. Condolences to the Dillon family and his close friends.
