Our family extends its deepest sympathy to Ella and the Thompson family. Walter was a friend, my manager, and my colleague during my IBM career in Phoenix. We shared many great moments and times together. His kindness, enthusiasm, and giving spirit will be with me and my family always.

Walter, my friend for almost 35 years - you were so special to me. In the old IBM days in NY, I could always count on you for a smile, a hug, or a word of wisdom s required. In the after-IBM days, you gave me those by cell phone and they comforted me just the same. I will sorely miss you. My condolences to the family - he loved all of you so much. Godspeed, my friend!

"I've Been Moved" years. You will always remain in my memory, as will Ella in my prayers.
