Words are never adequate in moments like these. Esther has gone home to be with the lord. I was employed for many many years for Mexicali. I will always remember and cherish our times together. Esther was a positive and influential amazing women to our community. She will be missed

Esther was such a perfectionist in every way possible - her business, her attire, her manners, her etiquette, etc. A lady of great work ethics. I loved her and highly respected her. She was always kind and referred to my (now grown) kids as her Mexicali babies. Certainly, the world is a better place because of Esther. I will miss her. Prayers of peace and comfort have been spoken for her family.

At the risk of re-stating the obvious, Esther was one of the hardest working, most social and outgoing people we've ever met. She was a most caring Mother/Grandmother, exemplary Hostess & astute business person--small of stature, but with an enlarged heart. Always a 'fashion-plate', well accessorized, yet simple, unpretentious and accepting to anyone she'd meet. She never knew a stranger--they became extended family on their second visit.
Amidst the busy-ness of Life: work, family, shopping, travel, errands and work....we rarely take that essential momentary pause to remember, reflect, re-discover and rejoice in the FRIENDS who surround us....often, until they've been taken. Esther taught us well to be people-centered; to always look for the good in people--even when it's hidden beneath the surface. She taught us to concentrate on WHAT was right, instead of WHO was right. She taught us never to give-up on anyone....even if they had given-up on themselves.
She also taught us things lasting and profound:
-No matter how talented, influential, religious, or wealthy--nobody escapes this life alive;
-We're all mortals and must face the reality we, too, will one day leave this earth...often, before we're ready.
-Esther prepared herself, her Family & her Friends for Eternity...where there is no more pain, suffering or disease.
-Esther's Legacy is very obvious in our community...in Kenny and the entire Gamez Family; in her example and community-service; in her lasting contributions to hospitality, laughs and enjoyment of this one Life we each have to live-out.

"Death leaves a heartache,
Nobody but God can heal;
Love leaves a memory,
Nobody can ever steal."

While change is hard, we understand it is also necessary. It's up to each of us to honor Esther and the example she set....by setting our own positive legacy, for those who will follow.
May God richly bless each member of her Family, large circle of Friends and Community.
Here's to Esther...and all she repeatedly gave to all of us.
