Such a kind person.
October 21, 2013
Harry was a friend to everyone who came into the Post Office. I have a box at the post office since 1986, and it was always a treat to give Harry a big hello and he returned the greeting with a big smile a hello back to you. He was a friendly clerk who knew me by name. I missed him when he retired and the entire community who knew him will hold wonderful memories of Harry Hulsey. God bless his family.

Harry, I've known you for a very short time. All the comments about you are true. Always a sheerful person and you treated me with lots of respect and I really appreciated your kindness toward me. I wish, I knew more people like you. Your are a remarkable person so scarce. You will be missed by many.
September 14, 2013
Harry Hulsey was one of the kindest people I ever worked with. I was so saddened to hear of his passing. RIP, Friend.
September 09, 2013
I waited a while to reflect on Harry's passing and how very much we enjoyed knowing and working with him. He, as everyone has said, is one of a kind. We can all learn a lesson in how to treat each other. It didn't matter who you were or what station in life he greeted you like a long lost friend and always had good things to say about you. It was such a pleasure to know him and work with him never a complaint. So far there are 80 posts but that does not tell the whole story. Every other person that has come to our window has said how much they miss him and his friendly face. Just know Marsha and family that he made his mark on the Earth and lots and lots of people won't forget it.

What a complete shock this was to hear of Harry's passing. I was not even aware that he had been ill. This man was such a delight to converse with. Never had a negative word to say about anyone. I will truly miss his cheerful face at Country Club Liquors. What a GREAT man he was!
September 01, 2013
Harry, such a wonderful man. Knew him from Pegasus post office. I was sad when he retired, now he has gone on to be our Angel. Wonderful man. Broke the mold when they made this man and his smiling face. So kind and gentle. R.I.P
September 01, 2013
Although Harry and I shared the same last name, we are not related. When I would mail packages at the Pegasus Annex, he would always comment on our names being the same. When he was just finishing his stint as a Federal Grand Juror, I was just beginning my stint. We thought they just wanted another Hulsey of the jury! He was always so friendly and kind to everyone. Great guy.
August 30, 2013
Harry was always such a pleasant sight behind that counter and he always said something funny to make my daughter laugh.... RIP
August 29, 2013
We drove all those extra miles on purpose to see angel-on-earth Harry at the Pegasus annex. We will always remember you.
Bob and Therese Dill.
August 28, 2013

Harry and I shared two grandchildren (Stevie and Richard) that we both bragged about. It was an honor to have worked with him, too. He will truly be missed! Marsha, Denyse and family....you all are in my prayers. God bless you all.

I wanted you to know I shared this on Facebook today. Just to let you know how much Mr. Hulsey had done to touch others. You know that person, acquaintance, that seems to be in and out of your life thru out the years. I happened upon the paper today and glanced thru it. In the opinion section I saw a familiar acquaintance. Mr. Harry Hulsey. He worked for the postal service for years but I knew him for his time while he worked at the Country Club Liquors Post Office. I saw him a few months back. As always a smile on his face and he greeted me with kindness and a compliment. The line was long that day and while I stood there I notices the diversity of the many people in front of me. Races, life styles, overweight, skinny, even one gentlemen where most people would dare not make eye contact. Mr. Hulsey greeted each one with kindness and some form of a compliment. He helped those who needed extra help. He spoke kindly to each one of us and with this huge smile on his face. When it was my turn he greeted me and I asked how he was. He said Dandy just Dandy. I said as I left see you next time. Well there won't be a next time. I never knew much about Mr. Harry Hulsey except he was a good hard worker who valued people and truly radiated with a positive spirit that would uplift anyone who crossed his path that day. Rest In Peace Harry Hulsey.

I just found out this sad news today. I was in the post office a few months ago. It had been a very long day. Harry, as always, greeted me with "Hi young lady how are you this fine day?" ( I am not young) Harry always made every customer feel special. Peace to his family. Robin Smith

August 25, 2013
I have fond memories of going to the Pegasus PO and interacting with Harry as he worked behind the counter. His welcoming smile......(behind all that hair!) and the meaningful - albeit short tidbits of conversation we shared made my trips to the PO not quite as boring as they should have been. Harry struck me as a truly genuine man, and I always liked and respected that about him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Harry's family, and may all of your good memories sustain you during this tough time of loss.
God Bless......

Uncle Harry,

You were a really great person, easily one of my favorite Uncles. I used to always look forward to coming over here to see you & Aunt Marsha. Whether it was a current world issue, something going on in my life or just a random conversation you always taught me things.

Thank you for teaching me how to execute a proper handstand, I still haven't gotten it down yet but i've been working on it. You'd be proud.

We miss you. As I''m yping this at your house i'm waiting for you to walk around the corner to greet everyone while combing your beard.

Thank you for all that you've taught us all Unc. We love you.
August 24, 2013
Uncle Harry, you are truly missed. Being at your house with all of the family around, I find myself wanting you to walk out of your room, combing your long beard. Or even you sitting in the kitchen reading the paper & drinking your coffee. Those memories will be with me forever & so will the memories I have with you. You were the sweetest man I've ever came across, positive in every way. With that, I'm glad you are pain-free, & no longer suffering. I miss you Uncle, may you R.I.P.
To Aunt Marsha, I love you & may god be with you in this time of need. Hang in there, we All have your back(:

August 24, 2013
The last time I mailed something, Harry and I were remembering Roger Miller and his fun music. Today I went by to just tell him about one of my favorites, 'England Swings'
I imagine both he and Roger were together smiling, saying that was a favorite of theirs, too. The magnitude of the celebration occuring in Heaven welcoming Harry is beyond imagination. Harry always took time to make you feel special, even if you didn't know each other. I never minded waiting in line because I knew he was making everyone feel special. We already miss him and our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Harry was a great person with an enormous heart that any person could have nothing but admiration for. Extremely thoughtful, well respected and loved by so many people that came into our store. Many did so just to see him he was that special. He was a people person, friendly and warm to all and treated everyone like family. A great friend to our family, to me, and really loved to help any way he could. People like Harry are very far and few between. He will be missed but never ever forgotten.

Harry always brought great joy to my heart during the many, many years of our friendship. I never recall his face without a broad smile and a voice filled with happiness! He was a man to be respected always and one of whom left you smiling and happy regardless of how your day had been prior. He simply had a joyous effect on folks and what a tremendous legacy to leave! I rejoice in his graduation day knowing that he sits at the right hand of the throne trusting he fulfilled his heavenly mission and heard those glorious words of which we all desire, "Well done my good and faithful servant!". I will see you again, my brother!

I am very saddened to hear of Harry's passing, and sorry for the loss his wife and children are experiencing. Harry was a delight to behold during my many visits to the Pegasus post office. It was always fun to talk to him, and he frequently spoke of his wife with deep affection (and a little healthy fear!) He was certainly never at a loss for words, and I know he was looking forward to his retirement with much enthusiasm. I pray he got to enjoy it as much as he was counting on. God Bless you, Harry. God be with his family.

Afterglow

I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
