Louis was an honored veteran, and a good neighbor. I didn't know him well, but when our shared grape-stake fence finally gave way in 2011 after 44 years, he joined me in sharing the cost of a brand new cinder-block wall. He never minded that I would occasionally grab a lemon or two off the tree that was just on the other side of that wall. I hope to see him again, if I make it, in heaven, because he's there now. He took many of the risks and gained the rewards in life that I couldn't do, and I'll always respect him most for those qualities. Dayne Frary
