Jill Robinson Obituary

Born in Bakersfield as a triplet on February 7, 1953, Jill Robinson was the youngest child of Ernest and Audene Wattenbarger. In 1953, natural-born triplets were a rarity and the Wattenbarger triplets grew up with their pictures gracing the Wattenbarger Lumber Company annual calendars. Upon graduating from North High School in 1971, Jill married her soul-mate, Steve Robinson. In 44 years of marriage, they never spent one night apart. The two "Love Birds" had infinite love for one another which defined them and was envied by all who knew them.

Throughout her life, Jill worked at Wattenbarger Lumber Company alongside many family members, friends and her husband. She was known for her friendly out-going personality and her fashion sense. Jill and Steve loved to travel taking cruises and numerous trips to the beach. They enjoyed their nightly drives to get a Coke, daily walks together, and regular trips to their favorite restaurants.

Jill is survived by her husband of 44 years, Steve, her son Brad, daughter in-law, Leticia; son Steve, daughter-in law Mickee, grandsons Sawyer and Chase, sisters: Shirley Simpson, Betty Wattenbarger-Lowder, Jan Wattenbarger, Joy Machowsky, brother Don Wattenbarger. She also leaves behind her two Yorkies Ringo and Tuesday. She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Audene Wattenbarger.

The family would like to thank the many friends and family for their support and comfort over the past few weeks. Services will be at Greenlawn on River Blvd. Viewing will be Thursday, February 11 from 4:00p.m.-8:00p.m.; graveside services will be Friday, February 12 at 11:30a.m. A reception will follow the graveside service at Hodel's on Knudsen Drive.

What a beautiful service Jill had on Feb. 12th, over 150 people were there to say goodbye. She was such a special lady!! I'm so proud to have been her sister-in-law. Will miss seeing her shining face. So happy that Steve and her had such a loving marriage and family.

My deepest sympathy to the Robinson/Wattenbarger family. I met Jill while our husbands were playing baseball many years ago. We had endless conversations which ALWAYS included tons of laughter. Her joy for life and love for Steve will always be what I remember most about her. She will be greatly missed. All of you will be in my prayers.

I met Jill when she worked at Robinsons-May. I went in to buy some jewelry and she was behind the counter. She was so friendly that before long we became friends. I would run into her and it was as if we knew each other for years. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Jill was our neighbor for many, many years. As a young child I remember the many times I would see her working in her yard, making sure the decorations for the holidays were just perfect, going for a walk with Steve, or stopping by for a brief chat. Jill had a sweet spirit and a beautiful smile. Her kindness and compassion was always evident. Many blessings, love, and peace to Steve, Brad, Steve, and extended family during this most difficult loss of your dear Jill.
