I remember Chris from our great years at Morgan. I knew her because she and my sister were foreign language majors. I knew her later as a colleague in the Baltimore City Public School System and through her children at City College. She was the BEST in each of those roles.

I wish to send my heartfelt condolences to the family of Ms. Buie, who will be missed by me and by all the many people whose lives she touched and forever changed for the better. I will remember Ms. Buie most for her truly sincere care for the students of the Granville T. Woods Scholar Program at BCCC when I was the Vice President for Learning/CAO. She gave of her time, of money out of her own pocket, and of just pure love to ALL the students. Students knew they could count on her ALL THE TIME! She was their advocate, their teacher, their mentor, and all that they needed. When I left BCCC and moved to New England, I always kept Ms. Buie in my thoughts and prayers. She was one of God's Angels on earth. Now she is with Him in Heaven.
