I have in the past year read some of Prof. Pajak's work. He had a unique insight into American culture and the way it is manifested through the educational system. He resurrected a line of progressive thought that has been given little voice in the past fifty years. I can only mourn our collective loss at such an excellent teacher and scholar.

Ed and I were colleagues who became friends over the years. We would talk on the phone two or three times a year to catch up on research, writing, and education in general. He was someone who wanted to make the world a better place through education. He will be missed.
Sincerely, Bill Owings - Old Dominion University

Diane, Alexandra, Zach, & Chris,

We are so sorry for tbe sudden loss of your Husband and Father. Words cannot describe to the family of an English Professor how Ed's life was taken. May Professor Ed Rest In The Peace of the Lord where he can look down on his family.
