Dear Family of Herman Baker: We have loved being friends with both Irene and Herman for SO many years. We met at the Bowling Alley on Route 40 in 1971. We bowled with them on Friday nights and then played golf with them. The guys were members of Hobbits Glen Golf Club and played together every week. We traveled with them to many different places to golf including Scotland and Ireland. We were from the Midwest so Herman and Kirk Breedon introduced us to Maryland Crabs and we had many good times together. Lots of good memories with your parents. God bless you all.

Dearest family of Irene and Herman Baker. I loved your MOM and DAD (Grandma and Grandpa) very much. I will miss being able to talk to them. Your dad and I had a nice friendship and we could talk for a long time, when he was able, at the nursing home.
I will miss that. He was a softie with a gruff exterior sometimes but I knew he was a very loving man and loved his family so much. He loved to brag about all of you. Know that he is out of pain and at peace. He knew God and I know that God knew him. I am sending you my sympathies...In God's love, Carol Eskin
His "wine in the woods" friend.
