James Riley Obituary



James R. Riley, 78, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014. He was the husband of Beatrice "Bev" (Miller) Riley to whom he was married for 18 years. Born December 14, 1935 in Saugerties, NY a son of the late Charles and Theresa (Casey) Riley, he was an avid boater and past commander of Riverside Yacht Club and Sue Haven Yacht Club, and member of Chesapeake Commodores Club. He was a US Army veteran. A tribute service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, PA 17356 with the Chesapeake Commodores Club and W. Brian Shea, II offering prayers. York County Veterans Honor Guard will present full military honors. A viewing will be held from 1-4:00 PM at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403 or to Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Dr., PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604. Deb, Gin and BJ - although we arent "family" anymore, your dad was loved by me and will forever have a place in my heart as one of my fathers. Some of my best memories are the times we spent together on the old boat, pool parties and our crazy halloweens with your dad's costume ideas.
