Dr. Jay Chunn was my advisor when I was in the MSW Program at Howard University. He let me know that he believed in me and encouraged me to continue my education and to become a social work educator. He had a profound impact on my professional life. And, we stayed connected over the years. I miss Dr. Chunn, but I have many wonderful memories and they include valuable lessons that I will pass on to others. Dr. Rowena G. Wilson

I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Jay Chunn on the formation of the National Black Crime Victim Services Coalition. With his help, we hosted a national video conference in 2011 and a national conference in 2012. I loved his intellect, wit, and willingness to serve. He will be greatly missed,

I miss you everyday. Thank you for being the most wonderful father. I will love you until the end of time.

Love Always,
"Baby girl"

A poem in loving memory of Daddy--

"Isn't She Lovely" is the first song I heard

You sang it, announcing my birth in this world

From the minute I got here, you never left my side

You vowed to love me, protect, and provide

I am so blessed that I had a father like you

You guided my steps and lead me through

Now I vow to make you proud in everything that I do

As I walk in my 25th year in a world without you here

I realize that you will never leave me

You are my angel and in the very air I breathe

You truly were the best dad and my best friend

Please save me a seat next to you in heaven.
