On August 9, 2015, John H. Gochnauer retired Captain of Baltimore County Fire Department, beloved husband of Dolores (nee Morgan) Gochnauer, the couple would have celebrated 31 years of marriage in November; devoted father of Linda Emrick and husband Ron, Marilyn Boecker and husband George, Janiceann Corrigan and husband Kevin, and Detective Patrick G. Covahey and wife Diana,; loving grandfather of eight grandchildren. Friends may call at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Rd. (Beltway Exit 26), Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm where a funeral service will be held Friday, August 14 at 10 am. Interment will be in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.

It is as I thought it would be. After all this time John is and has been missed by all who knew him, especially his loving family. He was truly one of a kind & a friend as well.

The Association of Baltimore County Retired Police, Inc., extends its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Captain John Gochnauer (Capt. Video.) John was a true professional and worked with many of us in investigation of various incidents in the County. He was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. He will be missed by all who knew him.
