Nick was a friend to me at Hopkins, and a pleasurable relief from the intense pre-med competition. He took me to his bakery and loaded me up with fresh bread, right off the conveyor belts. We also studied Italian together. He was a giant of a man ,humble, and well under the radar ,as the expression goes. When I first met him, I thought his family owned a corner bakery! I wish that I had maintained the friendship through my life. George Dirago, M.D, class 1965

My deepest sympathy on Nick's passing. He was always so kind and a true gentleman. May his memory be eternal.
