Gene was a true gentleman and a railfan extrordinaire. He was a member of the Baltimore Streetcar Museum and the Shore Line Trolley Museum in Connecticut. He spearheaded the restoration of Atlanta streetcar #948 which took many years to complete. It was even necessary to search in Korea for the missing parts for this streetcar.

I remember seeing him at Penn Station in Baltimore boarding a train for New Haven to spend his weekend working on car 948.

He loved the old Atlanta streetcar system and wrote a history of streetcar operations in that city.

Gene had class and will be missed by his friends at both the Baltimore Streetcar Museum and the Shore Line museum.
