Don't know why but Bobs name popped in my head today so something made me google him and surprisingly I was taken to an obituary. My heart just sank. Bob and I met about 35 years ago when he was living in the Village of Cross Keys. He was a wonderfully generous trusting person. Always liked Bob and regret allowing life to let our friendship drift apart. I never got to meet Kevin but my thoughts and prayers are there for you non the less.

I knew Bob well from working with him in Saudi Arabia. He was a very strong chemist with a very creative mind. We were both supervisors in the very early days of the ARAMCO R&D effort. I was a young PhD from Texas A&M and Bob had graduated recently with his PhD from Ohio. We spent many hours talking about electrochemistry.
I have many fond memories of him and the many laughs we had together. My family and I visited him once at his home after he returned to the Baltimore area from Saudi Arabia. He was still the same old Bob, full of laughter and good times.
He was one of the best PhD chemists that I had the good fortune to work with over the years. We will all miss him.

I remember the days we had. He was a very sensible guy. He couldn't held his tears while I leave him. We were going to meet again, in Feb. 2015 but this time I couldn't held my tears when I learnt that this great guy has passed. Rest in peace Robert, we will miss you.
