Ecclesiastes tells us there is a time to every purpose under the sun.A time to be born, and a time to die,a time to plant and a time to uproot. We are also reminded that difficult times do not stand without times of joy, laughter, and remembrance. As Stan's Commanding Officer for many years at Annapolis Police Department, I will remember Captain Malm-Stan-,as a man of integrity, honesty,a decent human being, and a good COP.To the Malm family,Stephanie, and Steven, always be reminded that your dad made a tremendous deposit to the community as a trusted officer of the law.I, for one, and those that we served, will always value the friendship we shared.
Joseph S Johnson
Former Chief of Police APD

I not only attended the police academy with Stan, we worked on the same shift together for years and he later became my Captain in Detectives. Recently we met several times over lunch and remininsced over patrol calls and CIS investigations.Stan gave law enforcement 200% as he gave in his personal life and his battle to beat cancer. Stan was my friend and I will miss him forever. Rest easy guy.
