I was saddened to learn of Bill's passing. A swell guy who enjoyed life and people. I was honored to be the commander of Delta/2-16 Infantry in Vietnam and have Bill as a member of the Mortar Platoon. He was assigned to the unit as he was experienced and was a mentor to the new guys. He was at Delta's reunion in 2007 at our home in Chapin, SC. I am in the black shirt seated to Bill's left in the photo Don Dignan posted. Like many of the good men from Delta, Bill went onto serve his community in law enforcement. Know he will be missed and was held in high regard by those of us who served with him. Hand salute Bill. See you on the high ground.

I was truly saddened upon hearing of Bill's passing. He was one of those rare people you meet in life who could always make you smile or laugh. In the years we worked together in the BPD, I don't think I have ever seen him not smiling or having a kind word for someone. The world is a sadder place for his passing.

Louise & family,
We send our sincere condolences. I served with Bill in 1967 and 1968. He was a great person and always had a great attitude. It was an honor to call him a friend and fellow soldier.
