Although we were the same age- I always felt that Ms Park had channeled my early conflict with the world at large and school in particular. How wonderful a legacy you have left behind- You will be missed, but never forgotten. Thank you for the treasures of Junie B and the rest.
May GOD embrace your soul and give your friends and loved one the comfort that you have many fans who believe that they had a friend names Junie B.
Rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to Barbara Park's family. Junie B was a staple at bedtime for both my children. We loved her antics and couldn't wait for each addition to the series. Thank you Barbara for such an endearing character, what a wonderful legacy for future readers. I hope to read Junie B. to my grandchildren someday.

My name Is Owen Patrick Green. I am 8 years old. When I was walking home today my mom told me Ms. Barbara Park has died. I have read the whole series. First grade and kindergarten. I am very sad she has died and will always remember her.

As a second grade teacher, I read the Junie B. Jones books over and over again to each new class. I would read to the class several times a day. You could hear a pin drop during those readings. No matter how many times I had read a book, I could always laugh again at Junie's antics. Junie could really connect to second graders. They had already experienced some of Junie's problems and they found so much laughter in her solutions. Retired now, I often wish I had not given my book collection to another second grade teacher. I can hardly wait for my great niece and nephew to be old enough to "get" Junie B. Jones. When in Barnes and Noble, I always look to see if there is another new Junie book. How sad I am that there will never be another adventure. Thank you Barbara Park for years of laughter with my students. God Bless you! My sincere condolences to Ms. Park's family. Karen S. Holman

To the family of Barbara Park,
Please accept my sincerest sympathy on the loss of your dear Barbara. Her physical suffering will be rewarded many times over.
Our son and daughter have fostered 18 children over the years. Each and every one of them LOVED Junie
B. adventures. Regardless of their ethnic background or their previous situations, Junie B. made them laugh.....which was and continues to be a blessing to those dear children.
May Barbara Park rest in the Arms of Our Lord and may her books continue to make children laugh. She has given the world's children a beautiful gift that will live forever.
