Another year has passed, 10 years since you suffered such a profound loss of your wonderful son, brother, friend. Not a day goes by that I dont pray for you all. I pray that His soul has the much deserved peace he is entitiled to and he is looking out for his other Marines. I pray for the family and friends he left behind that someday they will see how the goodness outweighs the sadness. Time will tell. I hope to go to the cemetary this month in honor. Proud Mom Cindy Smith of Marine who served in OIF 2004-2005 with Bart. God Bless

Rest in peace brother. The date is coming up (in June), when we left for Iraq. I will never forget you, or that August day-ever.

To The Humlhanz Family
The 9th anniversary of Barts passing is upon us, I continue to pray for his eternal rest and for all of you to have a peaceful mind and heart.
My Son served with Bart in the MSSG24 at the time of his passing. We have his memorial service program/card from the Service they had in Iraq. I look at the card as often as I can and I am always saddened. Barts handsome precious face on the cover is a reminder to me every day of how much of an effect he has had on me. I never met Bart, but thru his service with my son and his memorial service program in our home I feel a special bond to him none the less. A bond that brings me to tears every time I think of him. I continue to pray for all of you. I had the privilege to visit his grave on memorial day and place flowers there, I am planning on doing the same this weekend as well. May the years bring you comfort. Cindy Smith - Proud Marine Mom of a Brother / US Marine who served with Bart within the MSSG24 24th MEU.

Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Humlhanz Family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to troops in Afghanistan this week and we'll be dedicating several of these to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and the hometown of Barton R. Humlhanz US Marine Corporal. We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family
