Dearest Ms. Buford. I was so saddened to hear of Leon's passing. My daughter, Caitlin was a student at Dudley and without question he was her very favorite person. You may not remember me. I did a watercolor painting of a beagle for him. He was such an amazing man and an asset to all who knew him. And such a loss for both you and your family.

Mr. Buford was my Principal @ Dudley Elementary, he was a positive influence to many people in this community and he will be sorely missed. My condolences to his family.

Condolences Cindy, going to miss running dogs with him and joking around while we did it. A lot of great memories were made together. RIP my friend.

What will Stucky's cabin be like without Leon walking thru the door? Always a big smile on his face and giving all his friends a hard time. He was full of life and added immensely to the atmosphere. When we had serious discussions he impressed me with his fairness and generosity. We were friends for more than thirty years and I will miss his smiling face and his hunting tales. My condolences to his family. Sincerely, Jim
