I was first a patient of Dr Comai when I was about 25year old, I new I like him right off he was a very nice man.
He did surery on me several time over the years I hear a lot people say he was good Doctor, I like to think if I wake up just knowing who I am they are right he is a good Doctor.
I am now 67 years old it wasn't that long ago I tried to make and appointment to see him only to be told he has now retired, The girl on the other end said would you like to see one of the other Doctors I said sure why not.
She made me appointment with his son Dr Comai JR. He also did surgery on me again i woke up still knowing my name he also must be a good Doctor.
One time when I was seeing Dr Comai Jr, in come Dr Williams Comai He said I remember you, with a nice smile what a great guy he really was I Thank him for leaving me in good hands . I knew I miss him already and he wasan't even gone.
I feel very bad for his family I know they miss very much also.

As an ER doc in Battle Creek for 20 years I worked with Bill. An excellent surgeon with a gift for understanding his patients. He will be missed. He still owes me about a carton of Camel nonfilters. When I came to Battle Creek in 1987, he, more than anyone else on the medical staff made me feel welcome.

I was fresh out of Nursing School when I met Dr.Comai. He made my job so much easier and always treated me with respect despite me inexperience. As I later worked with him in Surgical Services I was reminded what patient care is all about. The patient! He loved on them, comforted them and took care of their every need. I am proud to have known him and send my sincere and true sympathies.

I worked with Dr. WB Comai in the operating room at BCHS. He was a loud and boisterous man and a joy to work with. During an display at the Kingman Museum, Dr. Comai introduced my daughter to the Venus Fly Traps, she has be working with them ever since, what wonderful memories. May the family find comfort within their memories and peace within their hearts.

I worked with "Wild Bill" in ER at Community when I was fresh out of college. He was my favorite Doc. Besides his humor, compassion, and God given gift of an outstanding Doc , he had a enormous heart. I will always remember when EMS gave us a 6 yr. old, whom had aspirated a balloon at her birthday party. Doc and I ran from the "cast room" to her, and upon opening her mouth he removed a red balloon. He threw it hard to the floor as there were tears streaming down his face. A huge heart? You Bet!. The little angel was so beautiful, dressed up, never to see another party Later after I had two daughters, i NEVER let them have any balloons. I have been on a "soap box" against balloons for my entire life. You see I believe Doc saved MANY lives that day. We are all better for loving him.
Sending you comfort and peace.Memories are wonderful.

He took care of my mother when she was dying of cancer. My wife worked with him as a nurse and had the greatest respect for him as did I. He was a compassionate man. Rest in piece. Condolences to the family

My name is CR Simmons & Doctor Bill worked at Leila Hospital with my Mother Connie Simmons. He also gave my brother Tony a Bassit Hound named Happy Traveler III when we were teenagers. Doctor Bill was always wonderful to my Mother & my sibblings & he will be truely missed. He was without a doubt in my mind one of the most kindest & loving men I've ever met.
