I remember him introducing,me to cecropia moths and bee and honey making. I also had the pleasure of being part time employed by him wheni was young ( due to my mo working for him ). He was always patient and kind and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was. A good man! Good doctor, husband, father and more. A gentle giant. He and his wife even gave our daughter some old school desks they found when cleaning out some, of their things years ago. Always thinking of others. Our thoughts are with his wonderful wife, Sally and his family.

I remember when Dr. Nettleman had served our family for quite a number of years. His kindness, patience, and understanding was testament to his profession. It was an honor to have known him.
Sincerely,
Kim Plant

I feel a sincere loss, not only for the man that was my personal physician from birth until his retirement, but for the generation of young people that never got to know him and all his contributions to this community plus the many lives that he touched. A short period of my life was spent on East Pearl Street across the street from the good doctor and his family (who by the way used to make house calls) and was enough to establish a long personal relationship. His daughter Mary was in my class at CHS (1974) and I believe was Valedictorian. I remember he was very into nature and whether it was his annual Ice Harvest on Vincent Lake or lecturing elementary student on bees, moths & such his time was well spent and he truly enjoyed life. He was quick witted, funny, brilliant, kind and honest all rolled into this Giant of a man and his passing will have as lasting of an effect as his presence did. I salute you William Nettleman and I will miss it all.

My husband and I moved to Coldwater in 1978. In 1983,we lost our daughter suddenly and tragically. Dr. Nettleman was the first person to come to our house..he had never met Lisa, as she lived in Chicago. We will never forget that.
We also cross-county skied w/him and Sally, and went to a U of M game together.
He was special.

Very sincerely,

Carole and Bill Tyson
