I admire the strong love and devotion of Grandma's daughters for her. Grandma Laura was like an eagle, surveying the family from the lofty heights of advanced age. She cared about all of us and was wise in many, many things. Her strength of mind and dedication to helping other people in their time of need was the perfect example to us as Christians to be strong in the Lord and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Her example of living life actively as a widow is an inspiration to those of us daughters and granddaughters who are also widows. Thank you, Lord, for the privilege of having known Laura C. Cridlebaugh. She told me that Jesus was the reason she could do all that she had done for other people. It gives me much joy to know that she knew Who created her and that she was quick to give Him the credit for all the good in her life. "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." (Rev. 4:11) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
