Cherished husband, father, grandfather and brother, Chuck, passed away suddenly on September 10, 2016, in Midway, Arkansas at the age of 62. He married Lauri Barkes on September 25, 1993, in Bull Shoals, Arkansas. He enjoyed fishing, playing with his grandkids, fixing up his hot rod and going to car shows. Chuck also enjoyed napping at the movies every weekend.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Lauri Martin of Mountain Home, AR; four daughters, Jennifer Martin of Montgomery, IL, Teri (Beau) Buege of Mountain Home, AR, Denise (Brian) VanDeVeire of Elburn, IL and Megan (Pete) Jones of Sturgeon Bay, WI; one son, Christopher (Autumn) Martin of Mountain Home, AR and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with David, Steve, Jake, Mark, Bill, Terry and Chris Martin as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House or North Central Arkansas Humane Society. He was very fond of both.

I was fortunate enough to be Chucks partner for five years on Medic 3 in the late 80s. He was great medic and a better friend. We ran hundreds of calls together and Chuck helped many many people while on the fire department. We had a lot of good times together and he always had my back. It was a honor to work with you Chuckie and my deepest sympathy to your family. God Bless.
