I am so sad to hear of your loss . Art was such a gentle soul who loved you all so much! I remember your house always smelled of. " Joy" dishwashing soap, and homemade spagetti. It was a house full of love and your dad ( and mom) made everyone feel so at home.

I had the pleasure of working alongside Art at the Saginaw Grey Iron Foundry in the 70's and early 80's. Whether it was fighting a fire in the plant or dealing with an unruly person, Art could always be counted upon to have a calm demeanor and a steady approach. His history with the Michigan State Police was not something he talked a great deal about, but we knew his history. Art was instrumental as the lead investigator in solving the Ypsilanti Co-ed murders in 1967-69, even being chronicled in a book (though his name was changed slightly). The killer remains in prison today, thanks in large part to Art's skills.

I knew him professionally and his family should be proud as he was a man of character. My condolences to his family at his loss.

Judy and Mark,
So sorry for your loss. Judy, my dad had nothing but nice things to say about your dad during the years he worked with him at the Bay City Post. Be sure to let your mom and family know that the Schoeppach family is thinking of all of you at this time and sending prayers your way.

Kent,
So very sorry to read about your father and to see that he was at the Carriage House. Bob's dad has been there for over 4 years now. I'm surprised we haven't run into you there! We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.
