Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your loved one. May reflecting on all the good times you've shared together help ease the pain that you now feel. Also may "the God of all comfort "strengthen you during this time of sadness, and may His promise for the future bring you peace.
Hosea 13:14.

Devendorf Family...I always appreciated my time being a part of your family. Sitting with Curt in the basement to discuss life, eating ribs off the grill, always seeing Curt beam when watching E go through a basketball workout, or play in a game, well these are just a few of the memories that will never escape me. As we got older, our talks became less frequent but there he was last year watching my own son play basketball and it reminded me of all the good he did. I listened to him talk so highly of his kids and grandkids. Cherish your memories and thank you for sharing Curt with the rest of us.

Precious Devendorf Famiglia,Your husband and father I can say proudly, was one of the most intriguing, unselfish, forthcoming, witty and in depth individuals I have been blessed to have crossed paths with on this earth.I recall the first day meeting him at Saginaw County Community Mental Health, right then I was placed under supervision of a man that not only kept things in order on the job site, but shared with his staff, qualities of life to embrace. I attribute to him my wealth of clinical knowledge to continue daily on my job and to face adversity, coming out stronger than ever. My children met him and were mesmerized of "how cool your boss is, he even has an earring mom". When I was transferred from Crisis to his department,I was getting married shortly thereafter. He stated "thanks for the invite, but I do not attend personal things" Walking over to the unity candle with my new husband and children, there sitting at a table, was that sweet smile, with a twinkle in his eye and nod of congratulations. One year at the employee CHRISTmas celebration my husband won a Golf package for 2 18 holes. Yes sir, that was handed right over to him!! To you his family, even though a man of few words most of the time, he ALWAYS let it be known how he loved his wife and his children were his LIFE ! This hurts, it hits home, please be reminded in the days and years to come Your father/husband was loved, respected made us laugh, shared his wealth of knowledge to make others lives worth living and to grasp the essence of How to Enjoy Life. Asking the Lord Jesus to provide all of you with warmth and love, a peace that passes ALL understanding knowing his Home Going with the Lord is a Celebration and fill your soul with all the memories/video/pictures and shared stories of a prosperous Man. Thanks for sharing him with all of us!

Dear Devendorf family,
I had the pleasure of working with Curt at SCCMHA for approximately 12 years. He was a kind, quick-witted and intelligent man. He talked about you all with a twinkle in his eye and I'm so sorry that you've lost him so soon. My heart is heavy with this news and I send you my condolences.

To Curt's family,
Curt was my supervisor and friend at Saginaw CMH. He was always quick with a smile and hug. His caring and supportive attitude shone daily. When life's challenges brought us down Curt was there to listen and reassure us. He was a special leader and peer I will always remember.
When you look to the heavens there will be a star shining brighter than the rest, that is how I will remember Curt with his fun loving smile and warm heart. Rest in Peace Curt... Deb Davies R.N.
