I have just learned of Don's passing. I will always remember him as a friendly, across-the-street neighbor that loved riding his yard tractor and kept his yard pristine and the envy of the neighborhood. Don was always cheerful and had a smile on his face. When my family and I first moved into our house, Don and his lovely wife, Joan, waved to us and met us halfway to introduce themselves. Although there was a great difference in our and their ages and the ages of our and their children, we all became instant friends. When Don and Joan's daughter, Judy, was married, our 4-yr-old son, Christopher, and 3-yr-old daughter, Caryn, were her ring bearer and flower girl. As teenagers, both of Don and Joan's children, Judy and her younger brother, John, were testaments to the values instilled by their parents. Rest in eternal peace, my friend, until we meet again.

My condolences to the Family of Don. I remember him vividly helping out at Ziegler's grocery from time to time when I was but a youngster and my mother would drag me and my twin brothers through the store, under the watchful eyes of Art, Ben and Maxine, of course. God's blessings on all your family at this difficult time.
