Mrs. Estabrook, age 96 years, passed away January 17, 2013 at Bay Shores Nursing Care Center. She was born in Bay City, Michigan on June 12, 1916 to the late Harry and Ella (Rowden) Neview. Dorothy was a 1935 Graduate of Bay City Central High School and was a member of Essexville Baptist Community Church. During her lifetime she was a very active member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a longtime member of several Airstream Trailer Clubs. On January 14, 1938, she married Charles Estabrook and he preceded her in death on January 9, 1997. She is survived by her granddaughters: Lynn (Andrew) Salinas, Holly (Marshall) Coggins, Sara Estabrook and Rachel L. Estabrook, her great-grandchildren: Amy (Scott), Andrew, Aubreon, Luke, Tre and Von, one great great grandchild and her daughter in law, Pamela Estabrook. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Yarhouse and a son, Charles Estabrook. Funeral and Committal services will be on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Kinnamon will officiate. Private burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9 a.m. until service time. The family would like to express gratitude to the staff of Bay Shores Nursing Care Center for the compassionate care that they provided to Dorothy during her time there.
