Edna and Family:
So many times my thoughts of you and Jack came to mind. Each time I made your wonderful banana cake I would remember our "golfing" and "Mr. Craves". He was great to work with at Peoples National Bank. Also, enjoyed seeing him at the Little League games in the summer. Fondly remembered and sending prayers to you and your family,
Betsy (Martin) Howard

John, Chuck, Kathy, Jude, Edna (Mrs. Craves), and Family:
I had the good fortune of living a few houses down from yours, and in the fall months of my youth, Sunday afternoons were special. You would be
watching the Lions games, and at halftime you would go out and throw the football around. I would come over and join the fun. Many times after the games would end, we would play a pickup football game in your
backyard. We would get to hootin'
and hollerin', and your Mom, who would
be tending to her flowers, or just watching us, would shake her head say "Take it easy, boys," as she was
mainly referring to your dad, who was
just as competitive as we were.
In the warmer weather we would get out the baseball bat and gloves and
hit long fly balls to each other in your backyard. If your dad was around
he would always be available to participate. With our endless energy and immagination, your yard was fulled
with activity. In my child like eyes, your yard was a "Field of Dreams," only made possible by the presence of your father, and your family....Thank you
Chuck and Sue

Jack was a best friend to our parents and admired by us all for a lifetime. Sincere condolences, fondest thoughts and fervent prayers in your loss. Eternal rest grant into him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
Jack was one of the many wonderful folks who served the Bay City community from Peoples National Bank. Those were the "good old days" when we knew our bankers as friends and neighbors and they reciprocated as customers and/or clients. RIP Jack, you and your generation will always be remembered fondly by a whole bunch of us.
