I just learned of Dan's passing yesterday. Marta and I, and the kids, really enjoyed our five years in Michigan, and Dan was a major part of that enjoyment. I will say this: no one ever robbed Dan of living life to the fullest. He crammed more into his 58 years than most people would in a century.

To the Somalski Family,

I was very saddened to learn (just today) that Dan had passed away. I was unaware and would have paid my respect in person at the funeral home and also attended the funeral. May you find comfort knowing that he suffers no more.

I know that once the snow falls and I hit the slopes, I shall once again, be reminded of him and our conversations about sking.
