SINGER, LESLIE ADAM age 85, of Unionville, passed away September 3, 2017, peacefully in his sleep at Medallion Village in Sebewaing, following a 2 month battle with cancer. Leslie was born in Unionville on February 27, 1932, to the late Mike and Susie (Licht) Singer. He married Betty Kuch on March 8, 1963. He worked for General Motors Saginaw Steering Gear for 28 years and retired in 1994. He was a member of Our Lady Consolata Catholic Parish - Holy Family site in Sebewaing. He was a fast pitch softball pitcher for many years, played the accordion, loved polka music and dancing. In his younger years he enjoyed bowling and hunting. Watching the kids sporting events and the Detroit Tigers were a favorite pastime. Most importantly he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved visiting and had a great sense of humor. Leslie is survived by his wife, Betty; 3 daughters: Angela (Daren) Nitz of Sebewaing, Natalie (Jeff) Anker of Unionville and Sandy Gettel of Unionville; 9 grandchildren: Megan (Jon) Grady, Ryan Nitz, Garret Nitz, Cole Anker, Taylor Anker, Brayden Anker, Jonathon (Amanda) Slack, Macklin Gettel and Conner Gettel; brother, Fred Singer of Unionville; brother-in-law, Vernon Kuch of Bay City; and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff at Medallion Village and other aids for their support, compassion and kindness shown. Visitation will be Thursday, September 7, 2017, at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 3-8pm with a Rosary service at 7:45pm. The funeral service will be Friday, September 8, 2017, at Our Lady Consolata Catholic Parish - Holy Family site. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of Mass at 11am. Fr. Christian Tabares officiating. Burial will take place at the church cemetery in Unionville with Rev. Stephen Stolarzyk officiating.
