I am so sorry to hear of Ginny's passing. She was such a great childhood friend. I have so many good memories of the times spent with Ginny and her family, including Maestro, the best dog ever.
God Bless all of you.

I was saddened to hear of Ginny's passing. I have always had fond memories of her friendship through grade school and high school, the hours spent talking on her front porch. Blessing dear woman.

Ginny and I lived across the street from each other in the old Bay City neighborhood by Farragut School. We played at each other's houses - mostly dolls and “let's pretend” imaginary games. We'd throw a blanket over a table and play house, but she always saidy we lived in a “nice but crowded apartment.” (It was pretty crowded under the table.) We went to day camp together, to St. Boniface together, and off to Sunday matinees with the troop of girls who lived within just a block of each other. Once she and I went alone to “The High and the Mighty” and were so transported by the drama, John Wayne's heroism and the music that we stayed to see it twice. When we got out and thought of letting our folks know where we were (little girls could roam around much more freely then), her dad - a wonderful man - came to pick us up and only scolded a little. It was a halcyon childhood.
After she moved, and then my family did, too, we lost track of each other, reconnecting via the Internet decades later. We didn't write much and I'm heartsick not to have told her how very much she meant to me. We both lost siblings and had our sorrows, but she wrote about her great pride in Geoff and the joy of being part of Tom's family. My deepest condolences.

My sincere condolences to Ginny's beloved family. I worked with Ginny at the library for many years. Ginny was always energetic, high-spirited, strong and an interesting co-worker and friend. I will always remember the great conversations we had, her courageous spirit, and how she lived life to the utmost as she saw it. She was to be admired.

It was a pleasure working with Ginny through the Library. She had a great sense of humor and was very thorough in her work. Deb Johnson, NJ

Ginny was always a delight to talk with, a source of tireless reliability to work with, and an inspiration to witness how she lived her life – the bravest person I've ever known. She will never be forgotten as a keen observer who held a deep appreciation of all things creative, and the sparkle she added to any conversation is something we all will truly miss. It was a privilege to work with her and, as time went on, to appreciate and marvel at her abiding positive spirit. With many condolences to her treasured family.

Ginny was also a lover of jazz and often came to her Phil Ogilvie's Rhythm Kings in A2. She will be missed.
