Dena Gayle Grondahl, 53, of Buna, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. She was born on October 9, 1960 in Port Arthur to Lewis Reckaway, Jr. and Sara Lane Reckaway. Dena worked in the healthcare business and was a private caretaker. She is survived by her daughter, Summer Ceasar and husband Cory of Groves; mother, Sara Reckaway of Evadale; father, Lewis Reckway Jr., of Buna; sister, Dawn Vincent of Evadale; brothers, Lewis Reckaway, III, and wife Jay of Evadale; David Reckaway and wife Monica of Evadale; Charles Reckaway and wife Grace of Houston. Dena is also survived by several nephews, nieces and longtime friends. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Details and registry available at Melancons.org.
