Oh Stephanie- I was so very sorry to hear about your mom. She was quite a girl! A great educator, neighbor, and a special friend. Love and best wishes to you.
I've known Debby since we were juniors in high school at Beaumont High. She has struggled with her health since then and many times was near death. She always rallied. Thank heaven for that because look at all the knowledge she spread about literacy, dyslexia, and her willingness to share. What a better world because of her. Thank you, Debby!
A Memorial Page has been created for Debby (https://www.facebook.com/MemorialPageForDebbyDeborahNixon), please come share your stories about her there. Thank you, Stephanie Nixon
We are sorry for your loss. You are in our prayers. Rachel.Bedford.Ginger and family
Debby will be missed. She loved sharing her tips on working with special needs students and was very generous in other ways as well.
Debbiewas the wonderful teacher that got me started helping students with Dyslexia. I thank God for her dedication to children with Dyslexia. I have never enjoyed teaching more than working with my Dyslexia students. To see the light come on when they finally understand that they can read. Thank you Debbie for all you gave to help them.
Debby started me on my journey of service to dyslexic children 20 years ago. She was my teacher, my mentor and my friend. The world is better place because she spent 61 years in it. She is finally home, an angel watching over us all! ??
I am sorry to hear about your mother. I know that we had some problems with each other.
Stephanie, I extend my sincere condolences to you in the loss of your Mother. She was an inspirational lady.
My condolences to the family of Deborah Nixon. She had the opportunity to help many during her life. May you find comfort in knowing that she is asleep in God's memory with the hope of awakening at a time when God has brought an end to all suffering and disability.
What a wonderful work she did. She truly was a very special lady. She will be missed by all. May the Most High God remember her fondly.
