Mom there's not a day that goes by that someone or something reminds us of you!!! You are truly loved and forever missed :-)
Aunt Mary you are soarly missed and loved by all of the family. It was such a blessing to have you in all our lives. You were such a compassionate soul and always concerned about the well being of others. We miss your delicious cakes and pies. I (Terrilyn) remember visiting you one summer when I was little and you made the best French toast! Love and miss you so much. Kiss Mama and Pawpaw for us. Rest well with the Angels!
Aunt Mary, we miss you so much. Thank you so much for being so good to my Mawmaw and taking good care of her it is not a day that goes by that she does not mention you.
I had a dream the other day that you and Pawpaw were in Mexico on the beach...he was eating your Sweet Potato pie and you were eating his gumbo. You all were having a good time!
Thank you for all the Pineapple cakes with no icing you made me and the German Chocolate you made for Danny.
I know you are looking down on us wearing those "WHITE" shoes we always laughed about....kiss my Pawpaw...miss and love you always.
My Sister, words cannot explain how much I miss you. I feel like I have no one to talk to since you are gone and I lost a piece of my heart. I never thought I could miss someone so much and feel so alone. There was not a day that went by that we did not talk and sometimes I still dial your number waiting for you to answer...You gave me advice when I needed it and fussed at me when I needed it too but I loved you just the same. I feel so alone and wish I had you here with me. Please watch over Kenny but do not let him eat too much of your Sweet Potato pies and tell him I love and miss him so much. Kiss him for me and give one to your self. To my sister and best friend I love you and you will forever be in my heart
I want to let you know how much we miss you! You were the best and we miss everything about you! My heart still hurts that you are gone but will never forget you! Missing your sweet potato pies, your German chocolate cakes and your words of wisdoms ! We love you very much and will always be in our heart! Please give my dad a kiss for me and tell everyone hello! Love u dearly
Dear Mom, it's been a year since you been gone. It broke my heart to lose you. Not a day goes by that I think of you. You were my rock, confident, and best friend. It's been rough not having you here to talk with. I thank God that I was blessed to have you in my life. I am just so thankful that my son was close with you. We can still feel your presence and knowing that you are always at our side. We are taking care of Dad and each other. Rest in peace my dear mother until we meet again.
Your baby girl,
Mom..it's been over a year without you and I miss you as much today as I did when you left us. Thank you for your love and your teachings. It has made me a better person. We are taking care of Dad and each other. I knw that time will make being without you easier, but nothing will ever totally remove this ache in our heart. We will love you until we see you again.
Your daughter, Pat
Mom it's been a year since you been gone. Because of you I see the world for what it is without you. I am stronger to deal with all that life brings us. Never would have made it without you.I thank you for the legacy you left us. You will forever be in my heart. Missing you. Joyce
Your were there from the start and I have no complaints. Because you were the best grandma ever you brought joy to my life. I will miss your fried egg and grilled cheese sandwiches, they were the best, Because you know my mama cant cook.... I miss the love you showed when you looked at me. I thought I was special and then Alahna came along and I realized your look at all of us that way. You had enough love and wisdom for all your Children, Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. I see so much of You in Alahna. My Only sadness is that Alahna will miss your grilled cheeses. But until we meet again I will keep practicing. Love Tori, Jean and Alahna
It still feels unreal that my girl, Aunt Mary, has moved on to heaven. I've often said that she is/was my greatest inspiration and I truly admired her strength, her courage, the love she's shown everyone she met, and most of all her funny sense of humor! I would call her on my way to work early in the morning sometimes and she would always sound so jolly on the phone, happily telling me "I've already started my day with my prayers, I've also cooked for the day, did the laundry, baked a cake AND some sweet potato pies, and I've also done my morning exercise/(walking inside the house)!!! Oh, and did I forget to mention this was at 7:00 IN THE MORNING??!! (smile) Rarely did she ever complain! I would suddenly feel exhausted after hearing ALL she has done and I still had an 8 hour work day ahead of me!! (laughing). I would often tell her, 'I'm going to be just like you when I grow up!' LOL.
And last but not least, I truly admired her honesty! She would tell you the truth no matter how much it may hurt. Of course she had a kind way of "speaking her mind" and could easily go from what I called "Mother Theresa mode" to her 'baby Sister Theresa mode' all in the same breath! LOL! And anyone that knows her baby sister, Theresa (my mom) knows you are about to have it!! LOL! But, that's what made Aunt Mary, "My Girl", she was more than special to me!
I'm going to miss our morning talks as well as her INFAMOUS TEXTS AND EMAILS!!! Now, that's a whole other story! LOL! Now how many 84 yr olds do you know keeps up with today's technology?! However, there was just one little flaw, she refused to use 'SPELL CHECK'! LOL. Her philosophy re: that issue was 'you knew what I was trying to spell'! JUST FIGURE IT OUT!!
I'm so glad God gave me the idea to start saving her emails, as I've already started re-reading them. Most of them makes me smile, laugh and now I sometimes cry bc I miss her so much already.
One of the last things she said to me was how she was looking forwarded to going to heaven and seeing her baby sister, Theresa, again. My response to her was 'My mom is going to give you a huge hug because you have honored her final wish in life and that was to take care of her children and you did an outstanding job with showing me and my siblings so much LOVE'!! So, until God calls me home and we all meet again, please know I will love you forever!!
And thank you SO MUCH for making my little son feel like he was just another one of your special grandchildren! He always says, "'NOBODY MAKES BETTER CHOCOLATE CAKE THAN MY AUNT MARY"! LOL! Now Tonya, no offense to you because you have started making his cakes since your mom got sick and it taste delicious but, like my baby said, NOBODY does it quite like your mom! LOL (just teasing)
P.S. Don't worry, we will definitely remain close to our sweet Uncle Ambre, as naturally, after 66 wonderful years of being married to such a beautiful, kind hearted woman, he is now an awsome extension of you.
Love you all,
Your niece,Paula Lazard-Lewis from Baton Rouge
