1943 - 2015 John Labrie, 72, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at his home. He was retired from the City of Beaumont as the Solid Waste Director with 23 plus years of service. John also served his country proudly in the United States Navy. John leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Paula Labrie; his beloved children, Dee Andrea, Timothy, and Tiffany Labrie; four grandchildren, Briana Zeno (Clayton), Sydney Williams (Stedmon), Steven Haynes, Jr. and Hayley Haynes; his siblings, Betty Kyle (Leonard), Rose Mary Johnson, Sharon Hamilton, Earnest Labrie (Ether), Gloria Sloan (Paul); brother-in-law, Gabriel Butch Savoir and sister-in-law, Virginia Labrie; five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Comeaux Community Funeral Chapel. There will be a visitation on Friday, November 20, 2015 12 noon until 6 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church. Visitation will take place from 8:30 a.m. until the Rosary at 10:15 a.m. Burial will take place at Live Oak Memorial Park with military honors.

The gratitude that I have for John and Paula cannot be expressed in words. They were always there for my kids (their grandkids). Thank you for being a great father figure to me and the best Grandpa my kids could ever ask for. God's continuing blessings to Paula and the rest of the Labrie family.
