I have never forgotten Mr Dockery. He was one of those amazing people that once you meet them they never leave you. He was my 8th grade science teacher...and a true inspiration in my life. I moved around slot in my youth and attended many schools. He was the 1st teacher I ever looked up to, respected and felt a closeness. He truly cared about all his students. I have, so many times, reflected back on my times in his class....and the occasional talks we would have, and I still use the life lessons he passed on to me and have tried to pass those on to my kids. I am so sad to hear he is gone....and no feel truly lucky to have known him.

Diana, I'm so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I have some very fond memories of him while growing up in Kirbyville and attending schools there right along with you. I know how difficult it is to lose a parent at any age, but it's such a blessing to still have them at this point in our lives. May you find solace in these words and may precious memories comfort your grieving heart in the days ahead. Praying that God's peace will be upon you and your entire family. With love,
