I am so sorry for your loss. My mother used to always watch Andy grffith when I was little. Ever since then I had loved his TV shows.

When I was 16 I remember meeting Andy Griffith. I was with my mother and her fiance having a "coke" while we were on our way back to Canton, Ohio. We were sitting in the back of the room close to the dance floor. This group of people came in, going straight to the dance floor where they proceeded to play songs on the juke box and dance. A geentleman, dressed in a tan shirt and pants, asked me to dance. I accepted his offer and we danced. One of the younger guys purposely bumped into us so we would be closer. The man I was dancing with put up his finger, shaking it "no" and the young guy stopped. Then a square dance came on and the gentleman asked if I squaredanced. I told him that I never did and he smiled and said "I'll show you." It was so fun. Then, my mother motioned that we had to leave and he thanked me for dancing with him and we said goodbye. When I got in the car, I said,"Mom, that was Andy Griffith." My mother laughed and said that I was wrong. I'm sure I was right but I have no proof. I just know that he looked like Andy Griffith and he treated me like a perfect gentleman. Only Andy Griffith would be such a gentleman. It is a good memory. I wish I knew if it was really him.
